Chelation Therapy Questions And Answers
Question: Dear Dan–Thanks again for taking the time to write me! My husband started out with one week of 2 capsules of EDTA twice aday–just to see how he did with it–now he is taking 4 capsules 2 times a day. So, would you recommend 1-2 more weeks of this, then rest for 2 weeks or so, then start with maintenance? A what is the maintenance dose and for how long? Plus, when you were doing th IV chelation–how long did you wait after to start to begin your maintenance dose again? Guess there is no worry of overdosing on the stuff? or get EDTA poisoning? Ralph does seem to be feeling better–no chest pain for about a week or more–he was having twinges daily–and his energy level is better. We are both hopeful! Thank you Dan! Good luck with the nutritional supplement product you are developing! Nancy
Answer: Please do not let him stop taking the Edta. Take one bottle at 8 caps per day. When done with bottle one stop taking for one week. Then take another bottle and repeat until all 4 bottles are gone. That is the problem with most people they stop taking it way to soon.
Your husband had chest pain when he started and it has let up. This is just a slight gain but he is on the track.
How is his diet. How many servings of raw fruit and vegetables does he get a day?

Dear Readers The question and answer above is typical of many I get. If you have clogged vessels in the legs, arms or around the heart EDTA is not a fast fix. It takes a great deal of time and energy to heal something that has progressed that far. It took me years to completely heal my vascular disease but I did it. EDTA will help get the plaque and heavy metals out of your body. It will do it in quantities that will improve your condition like the one above. However, you are improved not anywhere near good health. This is why I stress diet so much. Without the proper nutrients your body will never heal itself.
Chelation Therapy Questions
This is a chelation therapy question from one of our readers and below the question is my answer to her. I get dozens of questions per month from readers asking what I would do in a particular case. I am not a medical doctor nor am I a Naturopath. However, my 20 years of EDTA use and research combined with 12 years experience in nutrition research gives me the confidence to know I can help people solve their medical condition if they wish to do so naturally. Once you have a disease or chronic medical condition it is more difficult to solve the problem naturally but it can be done. The challenge is that the individual has to make drastic change. and that can be difficult.
Reader Email Dear Mr. Keating–I have been trying to do some research on the internet about chelation therapy-and it is quite a daunting task! It is hard to know what to believe or not. I found your website through my searches and was glad to see you gave your email address. I deperately want to find some help for my husband for his coronary artery disease. He had quintuple bypass in 2008–then a heart attack last November–still having chest pains–so had a cardiac cath a couple weeks ago-and found to have aggressive cardiac disease. He just turned 57–he has so much life left in him-but his body is not allowing that. I bought a juicer–hoping that will help–but want to do as much as possible. Have great hopes for the chelation–but have concerns too–a lot of negativity too. Your story sounds very promising–any comments that you have would be wonderful! Thanks-Nancy
My Answer August 11, 2011 Hi Nancy; My first recommendation is to buy the book the Rave Diet. You can get it on my site www.chelationstory.com/rave_diet.htm Amazon or a book store. Your husband needs a complete diet revamp and quickly. If it were me I would go on a strict vegetarian diet for at least a month. Get rid of all oils, all processed food. Eliminate all grains especially wheat and gluten he may be and probably is allergic. I would also buy him spirulina and chlorella powder and for the first month take two teaspoons of spirulinia and one teaspoon of chlorella per day. If he starts to have diarrhea back off a little. This will turn his stools green but will cause no harm it is the chlorophyll. Both of these algae’s are complete foods with all the vitamins, minerals, protein, amino acids and more to sustain life by themselves. It is the best and purest nutrition on the planet. Both these algae’s remove heavy metal this is a proven fact see www.chelationstory.com/kinghardt_protocol.htm Eat raw or juice with your new juicer. If you have farmers markets in your area buy vegetables and fruit from them.
Second Find out if your husband has heavy metal poisoning with lead, mercury, aluminum or cadmium. I now believe that much vascular disease can be attributed to heavy metals. That maybe the primary reason chelation works so well is it eliminates heavy metals. You can get a hair analysis to determine that.
It is obvious that his arteries are clogged. It is my opinion that nutrition will solve the problem but might not be fast enough for your husband. Therefore you need to start chelation. I would recommend IV chelation. If you can afford it. Otherwise oral chelation. I have had some people with chest pain taking my oral EDTA and getting rid of the pain in a couple of bottles. However, everyone is different.
The medical and research community has not yet really figured out why the body clogs the arteries. We all have good ideas but no real proof. Oral chelation has improved millions of people health but only attacks the symptoms not the cause. In 99% of people what they eat is the cause. Again everyone reacts differently. Some people get lung cancer from smoking and some do not. No one knows why. The same with heart disease. It has to do with genes too. I would suspect that your husbands genes are susceptible to vascular disease especially around the heart area.
This may sound nuts but I would also recommend the book Emotional Release Therapy by Walter Weston. I am now recommending this to all people with heart problems. It will benefit everyone but it seems it may be more necessary to heart patients. It is very easy to do and according to the author is effective.
Well there you have it. I hope this helps you to reach a decision. As the saying goes, “keep doing what you are doing and nothing will change”.
Have a great day and keep me advised. If I can help please do not hesitate to call or write.

Intravenious Chelation Therapy Results
A person called me yesterday to discuss chelation therapy for his father. The man is 88 and starting to show some symptoms that have made his doctors want to do an angioplasty and possible stent. He of course wanted to know if I thought chelation therapy would help his father and also possibly his mother who is having minor symptoms.
In general my recommendation is the same. If you have minor symptoms oral chelation may help. I explained like my own story said on chelationstory.com it worked for me and it probably will work for you. The side effects of oral chelation are minimal and can be cured immediately by reducing dosage or stopping.
We discussed his father and my recommendation was it was very late in the process and oral chelation although effective for major heart blockages it takes a great deal of time. Since I was one of those who likes to know exactly where I stand before making a decision I recommended doing the angioplasty with the agreement that the patient and his family get to discuss the decision before the actual surgery if only for a few minutes.
At that moment in time I had no pictorial or definite evidence that chelation would be a benefit to his father. The cardiologists I know have told me that if the heart arteries are less than 50% clogged they consider that a clear artery. Knowing the percentage that an individual is at seems pretty critical to me in making the decision.
Now we have more information that we can base decisions like this upon. Follow the link below to another chelation site which shows before and after ultrasound pictures of heart arteries. These pictures are from a Taiwan doctor and the photos were given to Dr. Cranton. Dr Cranton is an MD who is a chelation advocate. I am a little disappointed in that they did not give the name of the doctor or any information about him. I have no evidence that the ultrasounds are not authentic. There is so much controversy in this field that it is sometimes understandable but in this case I believe they should have provided the evidence to give the photo’s credibility. I do not believe the doctors in Taiwan have the problems with regulatory and government that we have here.
Chelation Story Readers Thank You
Thank you for all the emails and phone calls with your questions and challenges. Every time I get one I seem to learn something. Thanks to LH for the recent email on the possible side effect of blood thinners and chelation therapy.(More in the next post) The field of vascular problems is a large one and it is hard to keep up even for a doctor in the field. I have recently had conversations with my own doctors about EDTA Chelation Therapy. They all know I do chelation therapy and that I write about it. So they ask me how it is going and what is happening with me and my customers. It is gratifying and shocking at the same time. Back in 1980 when this all really started for me they all just blew me off.
My family doctor is now much more interested than he was previously. This alone is a step forward. I am always giving them a hard time about such things as what does “clear” mean when they are diagnosing vessel clogs. Clear to them means less than 50%. Clear to me is clear which means 0%. I also am pleased because they are a great source of information.
Again if any reader has information please send it on because it might help other people with this same condition. If any of you have stories where EDTA has improved your life please send them along and I will publish them here. I know it helps to show how people have improved their own health especially when friends and some doctors are telling you EDTA does not work or is dangerous.
Again Thank You Very Much top all of you.
Questions EDTA Oral Chelation
A customer called the other day and asked why I was still taking oral chelation did I still have problems after all of the chelation, plaque X and hydrogen peroxide treatments I have taken.
My answer I still take oral chelation, now about four bottles a year. I do it as insurance because I have no symptoms and have never felt better than I do right now at age 71.
Chelation Therapy is not enough you need to make other changes. I have changed my diet and I work out most every day with resistance training and I am doing the Pace program by Dr. Al Sears.
